Hi Kimberlee, I haven’t tested it in this recipe, but it would probably work. Another option is to lightly press it into the frosting to give it that coconut flavor and the texture adds to the decoration of the cake as well.

SoDelicious has restored my faith in ice cream, and this recipe made me and my partner nearly giddy with excitement. It was DIVINE!!!! I used oat milk, and Red Mills 1-to-1 all purpose flour for all 3.5 cups, measured using Kate’s spoon and level method. The icing was with Oatly’s dairy free cream cheese. No one had a clue it was gluten or dairy free. It was a birthday cake that satisfied every tummy and taste bud at the party. THANK YOU!!!
